The Department of Renewable Energy, Haryana has prepared an Energy Conservation Action Plan which has been approved by the Hon’ble CM , Haryana. One of the activity under this plan is to give awards to those consumers of industrial, commercial and Govt. building sectors who have excelled in adopting various energy consumption measures in their units/buildings to save electrical/fuel energy.

I           Objectives of Scheme

(i)                  To create awareness among the industrial, commercial and Govt. buildings sectors about energy conservation.

(ii)               To recognize the efforts of industrial, commercial and Govt. building sectors consumers in conserving energy by way of        giving them awards/certificate of merit.

II         Category of State Level Awards 

               To encourage and motivate, it is proposed to give State Level Award for Excellence in Energy Conservation and Management for the following categories of consumers:

1.         AWARDS FOR LARGE SCALE INDUSTRIES(HAVING CONNECTED LOAD MORE THAN 1.0 MW)

III       Methodology for Inviting Nominations

          Nominations for these awards are invited by the Additional Deputy Commissioner in the forms prescribed after giving due publicity through local consumers/industrial associations and local news papers.

IV      Other Conditions

(a)               Interested applicants of industrial/commercial/Govt. building sector is required to give their energy/fuel consumption data of the last three years (i.e from 1^st January to 31^st December of 2008, 2009 and 2010). The applicants are also required to attach attested copies of their electricity/fuel consumption bills of these three years with their applications.

(b)               The establishment / consumers should have the energy audit of their unit during any year of last three years. They have also to submit the annual energy audit report of that year. Such report should has been got prepared from any of the approved empanelled energy auditors of Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Govt. of India/PCRA, Govt. of India.

            State Govt. has constituted district level committees under the Chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner comprising of Superintending Engineer-Uttari Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd. / Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd. General Manager-District Industries Centre and PO/APO (IREP) for recommendations of their respective districts for nomination for State level awards.

            State Government has also constituted a committee under the chairmanship of F.C & P.S (RE) and Chairman, HAREDA consisting of following members to consider the recommendations of District Level Committees in this regard and recommend the best entries for giving away the State Level awards.
