  | How to Avail Incentives |

    

Under the Special Area Demonstration Programme, Energy parks and solar shops are being set up to demonstrate the applications and after sale service of various renewable energy devices.

 

Energy Park Scheme :

 

Objectives :

 

  • To create awareness among the students and teaching faculties about the new technologies developed in the area of renewable energy.

 

  • To demonstrate the working of these technologies through working models.

 

  • To educate the students regarding application of various renewable energy sources, energy conservation and their socio-environmental benefits.

 

Cost & Incentives :

 

  • The cost of an energy park ranges between Rs.1.00 lac to Rs.10.00 lacs, depending upon its size.

 

  • The MNRS,GOI provides 75% of the project cost as financial assistance for setting up these energy parks.

 

  • Balance 25% cost is to be shared by the host institute.

 

  • In case of a second energy park in the same district, the MNRS,GOI financial assistance reduces to 50% of the project cost.

 

  • The smaller projects may need about 250 sq. yards of land and the bigger ones nearly ½ an acre.

 

Achievements :

 

So far, 13 energy parks have been set up in 11 districts of the State at following places:

 

  • Regional Engineering College , Kurukshetra

  • Sir Chotu Ram State College of Engg. , Murthal, Sonepat

  • College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, HAU, Hisar

  • Convent of Jesus & Mary, Ambala Cantt

  • Haryana Institute of Rural Development, Nilokheri, Karnal

  • Hansraj Public School , Panchkula

  • Ahir College , Rewari

  • Guru Jhambeshwar University , Hisar

  • Mini Secretariat, Karnal

  • Govt. Polytechnic, Sirsa

  • Govt. Polytechnic, Jhajjar

  • BKN Govt. Polytechnic, Narnaul

  • ML Institute of Technology, Radaur, Yamuna Nagar

 

In addition to above, the following 8 Nos. District Energy Parks have been sanctioned by MNRE,GOI and are being setup:

  • Adarsh Mahila Mahavidyalay, Bhiwani

 

  • Haryana Collage of Technology & Management, Kaithal

Navjyoti Foundation, Gurgaon

 

  • YMCA Institute of Engineering & Technology, Faridabad

 

  • Vaish Collage of Engineering, Rohtak

 

  • DAV School , Jind

 

  • Manohar Memorial Collage, Fatehabad   

      

Rajiv Gandhi Renewable Energy Park

 

A State level energy park named as Rajiv Gandhi Renewable Energy Park is being setup at City Centre Sector-29 ,Gurgaon at a cost of Rs. 1.13 crores on a plot measuring 1.6 acres.This park will demonstrate the applications of the various renewable energy technologies and the concepts of sustainable building designs through working models .The foundation stone of the park has been laid down by Hon'ble CM,Haryana on 20-08-05. The  civil  and electrical work has been started and project is likely to be completed by August,2007.

 

PROMOTION OF SOLAR RENEWABLE ENERGY PARKS DURING THE YEAR 2006-07

 

The guidelines of the MNRS, Govt of India for setting up of the District Level Energy Parks and State Level Renewable Energy Awareness / Education Park are as under:

 

·        The objective of this programme is to create publicity of renewable energy technology systems and also to disseminate information on technological development and promotional activities  taking  place in  the area of non-conventional energy.             

·        The District Level Energy Parks will be set up in educational institutions, R&D training institutes, Krishi Vigyan Kendras recognized by the State/ Central Government, Corporate and Industries Association/ Institutions, Public Places such as National Park, Zoological Gardens, Botanical Gardens, Historical places/ monuments, Science Museums and popular tourist places, social and cultural institutions and other institutions, where there is a large flow of public.

 

·        One Energy Park may be set up in each district depending upon the availability of funds. A second Energy Park may be set up in the same district with reduced central financial assistance on 50:50 cost sharing basis.

 

·        The cost of district level Energy Park should be in the range of about Rs.1.00 lacs to Rs.10.00 lacs. The maximum cost of District Level Energy Park would be Rs.10.00 lacs including annual maintenance contract (AMC) cost of about 2% per annum of sanctioned energy systems and devices.

 

·        Energy Park scheme would be extended to Corporate & Industries Association on 50% cost sharing basis, who will provide land free of cost and ensure upkeep of the park.
