To recognise the efforts of those gram panchayats who have done commendable work in their respective blocks, districts and also in State for promotion/ installation of new and renewable energy sources, the department has initiated the scheme to facilitate such panchayats with the following awards:

 

STATE LEVEL AWARDS

 

1st Prize         :  Increased from Rs. 2.00 lacs to Rs.3.00 lacs and a shield

2nd Prize        :  Increased from Rs. 1.00 lacs to Rs.2.00 lacs and a shield

3rd Prize        :  Increased from Rs. 0.50 lacs to Rs.1.00 lac and  a shield

 

DISTRICT LEVEL AWARDS

 

1st Prize         : Increased from Rs. 25,000/- to Rs.50,000/- and a certificate

            2nd Prize        : Increased from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs.25,000/- and a certificate

 

BLOCK LEVEL AWARDS

 

1st Prize         : Increased from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs.25,000/- and a certificate

 
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:-

 

1.                  A panchayat who have covered maximum no. of unelectrified households by Solar Lanterns, SPV Home Lighting Systems and SPV Street Lighting Systems for meeting their lighting energy needs.

2.                  A panchayat which has covered a maximum no. of families under family size biogas out of the total number of families which have potential for installation of biogas plants in their house.

3.                  A panchayat in which maximum no. of families which have replaced the ordinary bulbs by the energy efficient compact florescent  lamps.

4.                  A panchayat in which maximum no. of households have adopted improved chullah for cooking their foods.

5.                  A panchayat in which maximum no. of families have adopted solar cookers for meeting their cooking energy needs.

6.                  Panchayats having maximum functionality of the renewable energy/energy conservation devices installed in their villages.

 

                        The nominations are invited by the district level committees, headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner of the concerned districts consisting of the following members:

 

1.                  ADC-cum-CPO (IREP)  of the district              :           Chairman

2.                  Deputy Director (Agri.)/SDO                             :           Member

            (Biogas) of concerned district

3.         Lady Circle Supervisor                                       :           Member

4.         Xen, HSEB of concerned district                      :           Member

5.         Project Officer (IREP) of the district                  :           Member

 

                        Based on the recommendations of the District Level Committees the State Level Committee consisting of following members select the names of the panchayats for awarding the State Level Awards:

 

1.                  Director, Renewable Energy Deptt., Haryana:            Chariperson

2.                  Regional Director, MNRE/GOI                          :           Member

3.                  Nominee of Director, Women &                        :           Member

            Child Development Deptt.

4.                  Addl. Director (Biogas), Deptt. of                     :           Member

            Agriculture, Haryana

5.         Project Director, (IREP) DRE, Haryana           :           Convenor

 

                        The State Level Committee selects the panchayats based on criteria of awarding one mark for a system installed and one mark for each functional percentage of the systems in the recommended village.
